Tikal is an ancient Mayan ceremonial center located in Petén, Guatemala, just 19 miles north of Lake Petén Itza and the charming town of Flores. We will drive you to the Belize-Guatemala border, which is only a short 15-minute trip from our office. Upon arrival at the border, we will cover your border fees and assist you with the crossing. After that, you will meet your guide, who will drive you for another 1.5 hours to Tikal National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Along the way, you’ll pass through small villages and enjoy beautiful lakeside scenery, as well as rolling hills featuring rainforests and agricultural farms. Once we arrive at Tikal, we will pay your entrance fees, and your guide will provide an in-depth two-and-a-half to three-hour tour of this magnificent site. (and our guide speaks fluent English).

Tikal is renowned for its massive pyramid temples, monumental plazas, palaces, and stelae. During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to spot wildlife, such as howler monkeys and coatis, enjoy birdwatching as you observe parrots, toucans, and oscillated turkeys among the trees, and experience local Guatemalan culture. After an extensive tour of the site, we will head to a local restaurant for lunch, which includes vegan and vegetarian options. Lunch is part of your tour.
