"Mayawalk
leads truly amazing trips into the Maya underworld..."
-The
Rough Guide to Belize
From
the Belize Forums:
I know we
can't do it all, but what is a MUST for a middle aged adventurous
couple visiting the Cayo district?
You MUST,
and let me stress Must, do the Ultimate Jungle Adventure with MayaWalk
Tours. It was the best tour of our entire 13 day vacation. You will
never experience a trip like this, don't want to tell you too much
about it...will ruin the trip. Just think of a day filled with the
best of ruins, caving, swimming. We were in a group of 6 and we
all agreed it was amazing. Check it out!!
Can anyone
comment on the cave adventure to Actun Tunichil Muknal cave? I think
it's called the "Ultimate Cave Experience". You have to do a quick
swim to get to the cave entrance. If anyone has done it or knows about
it, please write back and also tell me how to book it and what it
costs. Thanks!
I just did
the tour for the 2nd time, it's that great, and this time with my
aunt and her 3 dear friends. (50+ age) we went with Mayawalk. How
can this tour get better each time, it just does.
www.mayawalk.com
is their webpage, you can book there and pay when you arrive. We
did it with a couple of nights camping and it was FANTASTIC!! Do
a search on Mayawalk, there was a thread on it not that long ago.
The guys are great characters. Our best guided tour yet!!!
My fiance and
I are staying at Chaa Creek. What would you recommend between excursions?
Cave tubing
can be organized at a number of places in San Ignacio. Mayawalk
has a rappel of about 120ft that's part of an overnight trip, tell
them that you want to do the hand print cave and the rappel and
I bet they'd make an exception and do it as a day trip if you asked
nice; or take the overnight and blow your mind with a wet cave trip,
the hand print cave and the rappel. I think this trip was one of
the coolest things I've done in my entire life!
